About Me

I’m Melanie Ever Moore, author of Hope Quest book 1: Blackbird & Hope Quest book 2: The Lightning and two collections of poetry and dance photography, Elegant Execution  & The Stars Went Out.

I’ve been self-employed for the last decade as a newborn & children’s photographer (Stay Gold Photography) and have degrees in Psychology (UofW) and Social Work (LU) which have come in handy in both a professional sense and as a writer. I currently live in Alberta, Canada with my husband and our three beautiful kids.

My photography, poems, and short stories have been published in newspapers and literary magazines across Canada, the US, and Australia.  Most recently, my dance photography appeared in The Broken Plate magazine out of Indiana in the fall 2020 edition.

I am an avid supporter and fan of other indie authors and artists who I feature in my weekly interview series, The Innovators.

Currently, I have three writing projects in the works for 2021: a poetry collaboration, my long-overdue memoir (which I ‘ve been trying to write for fifteen years!) and the final installment of my Hope Quest trilogy, book 3: Stardust.
